The prices of building materials recorded today, Saturday 3/13-2021, stability in the local market, where the General Division for Building Materials at the Union of Chambers recorded the price of a ton of reinforcing iron ranging from 13,500 to 13650 pounds, the factory price, and the price to the consumer ranges between 13,800-14,000 pounds.
The prices of the rest of the building materials, including cement, stabilized at 700-750 pounds per ton as a consumer price, gypsum prices were 550-650 pounds per ton, sand ranged between 60-100 pounds per meter, and bricks scored 750-950 pounds per thousand bricks.
The General Division for Building Materials of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce confirmed that the state was able to raise the quantities produced of cement, which contributed to the increase in the supply of building materials during the last period, after the establishment of a number of cement factories that led to the injection of large quantities to the local market, which led to Increasing supply and controlling prices regarding cement, adding that the purchase movement may witness a movement in the coming months, after the government announced the new construction requirements that were approved at the end of last year, which will lead to defining the features of construction operations in the various governorates.
