Jordan News Agency: Investigation into the death of patients after an oxygen shortage at Salt Hospital



Jordan's Ruya TV said that a technical defect caused the oxygen supply to patients in Al-Salt Governmental Hospital to be cut off, which caused the death of a number of patients on artificial respirators in intensive care.


Meanwhile, the official Jordanian News Agency, "Petra", said that Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh had directed an immediate investigation into the oxygen shortage at Salt Governmental Hospital.


Al-Khasawneh stressed today, Saturday, that the investigation will be clear, transparent and comprehensive, and all its details will be made public, and he also indicated that he had requested the President of the Judicial Council to conduct an investigation through the Public Prosecution, and to issue the results of its investigations independently and clearly to ensure the integrity and integrity of the investigations.


The Prime Minister affirmed that everyone who is responsible will be held accountable, if proven, for the consequences that affect him in accordance with the provisions of the law, according to him.


In a related context, the Jordanian News Agency "Petra" said that the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, inspected Salt Hospital after a number of patients were cut off from oxygen, which led to the death of 6 of them.
