Finance Minister: We have promising opportunities that attract new segments of investors and international development partners

 

Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, affirmed the Egyptian government's keenness to increase investments directed to development sectors. To contribute effectively to improving public services and improving the quality of life of citizens, in a manner that reflects the state’s efforts to maximize spending on laying the foundations for comprehensive and sustainable development in accordance with the vision of "Egypt 2030". In this context, the importance of the unprecedented national projects that are being implemented in various sectors becomes evident; As promising development opportunities that open up broad prospects for investment, and attract new segments of investors and international development partners to work in Egypt; To drive job-rich economic growth.


The Minister said, in his meeting with the Canadian Ambassador in Cairo Louis Dumas, and his accompanying delegation, that we look forward to strengthening means of economic and development cooperation and commercial partnership relations with the Canadian side; In a way that helps maximize Egyptian exports and encourage Canadian investments in Egypt, including “Egyptian securities,” pointing to his interest in joint cooperation between the finance ministries of the two countries in light of the endeavor to digitize the Egyptian financial systems using the latest global technologies.


Minister of Planning: Paying 50 cars for technology centers before the end of the year

 

Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the important role that the state seeks to achieve is to provide services to citizens and simplify them, stressing that the goal of all Egyptian state institutions is to provide services with high efficiency in order to save time and effort for the applicant.


Al-Saeed added that the state is working to implement a plan to develop all citizen service centers in the various governorates. Which provide local services such as building permits and shop licenses.


Dr. Hala Al-Saeed explained that the employees of these centers are trained on advanced technological means. With the aim of separating the service provider from its applicant, confirming that all papers in these centers are currently archived electronically.


The Minister of Planning and Economic Development added that 12 cars have been handed over to the Ministry of Local Development to operate as advanced technology centers, provided that an additional 50 cars will be paid before the end of the year, with the aim of reducing overcrowding and reaching remote places.

 

Management and administration approved the settlement for 242 employees of the Health Directorate in Beni Suef

 

The Central Agency for Organization and Administration headed by Dr. Saleh Al-Sheikh completed the approval of the appointment with the highest qualification known as "settlement" for 242 employees of the Health Directorate in Beni Suef, and sent his approval to the Ministry of Finance to implement its affairs.


The sheikh said that the re-appointment of the “settlement” is subject to the approval of the Human Resources Committee and the approval of the competent authority of the committee’s report until the first of November 2019, according to Civil Service Law No. 81 of 2016 and its executive regulations.

Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received, in his office at the Ministry's headquarters in Abbasiya, Majed Fawzi, former Chairman of the Chamber of Hotel Facilities Board of Directors, and Alaa Aqil, the current Chairman of the Chamber's Business Administration Committee, after the decision to form a committee to run the Chamber's business headed by Alaa Aqil and the membership of Hisham Al-Shaer Muhammad Ayoub, Haitham Nassar, Abdul Hamid Abu Yusef.


This decision came after the Administrative Court ruled to dissolve the Chamber’s previous board of directors to invalidate the Chamber’s elections held on October 31, 2018.


The meeting was attended by Ahmed Al-Wasif, President of the Egyptian Federation of Tourist Chambers, Abdel-Fattah Al-Assi, Assistant Minister for Supervision of Hotel Establishments, Shops and Tourism Activities, and Yumna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs.


Dr. Khaled Al-Anani began the meeting by thanking Majed Fawzi and the former Board of Directors of the Hotel Establishments Chamber under his chairmanship for all the efforts they made during the previous period to advance the hotel sector, especially for their work during a difficult period during which they were able to perform their work ably, appreciating the effective role that the Chamber played in receiving Egyptians stranded in the city of Morsi Alam during the suspension period with the onset of the new Corona virus pandemic.



A collective increase in the stock market indices for the fourth session ... and the capital wins 2.1 billion pounds

 

The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended the trading session today, Wednesday, with a collective increase in the indices for the fourth consecutive session, driven by purchases from foreign dealers, and the market capital gain of 2.1 billion pounds, to close at 654.223 billion pounds.


The "EGX 30" index rose by 0.21%, to close at 10642 points, the "EGX 50" index rose 0.25% to close at the level of 2021 points, and the "EGX 30 index of determinant weights" decreased by 0.04% to close at 12908 points. And the EGX 30 overall return index fell by 0.97% to close at 4088 points.


The index of small and medium-sized companies "EGX 70 is equal weights" increased by 0.63% to close at 1970 points, and the index of "EGX 100 equal weights" rose by 0.36% to close at 2898 points.
