The DRC's security scale (Barometer) announced that at least thirty-nine people were killed as a result of an attack on two villages in the northeast of the country.

 

"The security barometer of Kivu," according to Radio "Africa 1" today, Monday, said that at least 20 civilians in the village of Puja and at least 19 in the village of Chappi in (Iromo province in Ituri province) were killed during the night from yesterday, Sunday to Monday. .

 

For their part, two local officials in "Puja" confirmed that 36 people were killed, but this number has not been confirmed from an independent source, explaining that the gunmen attacked the site of the displaced "Robinjo" near the "Puja" center and that the bodies are still being counted.

 

It is noteworthy that the two villages that were attacked, about 10 kilometers from each other, are located on the border between North Kivu and Ituri in an area on the border with Uganda where the "Alliance of Democratic Forces" is active, and it is one of the armed groups in this region that has been witnessing violence for nearly From 25 years old.
