Precautions to take when you have a Coronavirus patient at home


The numbers of Coronavirus infections have increased during the current period, and there are many patients who are isolated at home when they are infected with the virus and follow up on their condition without the need for isolation inside the hospital, and when you have a person at home who has tested positive for the virus, many measures and precautions must be taken to protect the rest of the family from catching the infection. Precautions to take if you have a coronavirus patient at home


Wear a mask: Although the Corona patient is isolated in a separate room, everyone in the house must wear a mask at all times. Do not touch or tamper with your mask while wearing it. Wash your hands after removing the mask.


Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently: From monitoring oxygen levels to giving them food and medication, you may have to help Corona patients in your home in a number of ways.


Use separate utensils for the patient. Do not mix these utensils with the regular utensils used by other family members. While washing the dishes the patient uses, wear a mask and gloves and use hot water to clean the utensils. Wash your hands thoroughly after washing the dishes.


Surface Cleaning: Sanitize and clean frequently touched surfaces such as keyboards, table top, remote control, door handles, faucets. All these items should be cleaned and disinfected frequently.


Monitor your health: While caring for a Corona patient, you should also monitor your health. Check for any symptoms such as coughing, fever and shortness of breath. If you are in close contact with them, you must also quarantine at home for a period of 14 days.
