Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, inspected the ongoing projects in the tourist river strip in the new city of Aswan, in the presence of officials of the ministry, the governorate, and the New Urban Communities Authority.
The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Aswan toured the river strip projects in the new city of Aswan, where the minister stressed the need to adhere to the timetables, and to implement at the highest level, for this important project, which will be a distinctive landmark on the shore of the Nile River in the Aswan governorate.
The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Aswan inspected the Nile Walkway project, the first phase of which is 4500 meters long, and includes shops, restaurants, a river marina, walkways, and seats for citizens directly on the Nile, as well as a Nubian village that includes Nubian-style shops, restaurants and cafes. And parking spaces for cars, a tunnel linking the northern and southern part of the park, a footbridge to connect with the open theater, and the tents area, and it will be a park and an outlet for citizens.
Dr. Assem El-Jazzar and Major General Ashraf Attia also inspected the open theater project, which has completed the finishing works, and it is among the projects of the tourist river strip in the new city of Aswan, and it is built on an area of 5.5 acres, and accommodates 3,000 spectators with a panoramic view of the Nile River, and is connected to the beach park Via a pedestrian bridge.
The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Aswan inspected the villas that have been and are being implemented in the tourist river strip in the new city of Aswan, where 66 villas have been completed, and another 84 villas are being implemented.
