The stock exchange transfers Orascom and Juhayna to List D in the event that the financial statements are not sent


The Egyptian Stock Exchange Registration Committee decided, in its session held yesterday, Tuesday, to list and trade the shares of Orascom Investment Holding Companies, Wadi International Investment and Development and Juhayna Food Industries, in List D as of the beginning of the trading session on June 2, if the companies do not provide the stock exchange with the financial statements about The year ending 12/31/2020, and no later than the start of the trading session, next June 1.

 

In the same context, Orascom Investment Holding Company announced that it will send the financial statements for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2020, on Monday, May 31.

 

The Registration Committee also decided to stop dealing in the shares of General Tours as of the beginning of the trading session on June 1, in case it fails to provide the Stock Exchange with the financial statements on 12/31/2020, no later than, before the start of the trading session on June 1.

 

List (D) is a sub-list added to the three lists currently in effect, which include List A for the most active securities, List B for medium-activity securities, and List C for listed securities that do not meet the quantitative and qualitative criteria for listing in any of the The A and B lists.

 

List D includes securities that are likely to be written off in the event that they do not comply with the rules of registration and disclosure, or that intend to elective delisting, which is the decision adopted by the Financial Supervisory Authority. This step comes in light of the Egyptian Stock Exchange’s keenness to provide further clarification to the public. Dealing with the potential status of these companies and the reasons for their inclusion in List "D", as well as ensuring the protection of the rights of investors in dealing with listed securities, and avoiding withholding liquidity after clarifying the position of these companies.
