Director of the Arms Control Department of the Arab League: We will exchange views on Iran's nuclear file with America


The work of the International Conference on Disarmament and Nuclear Non-Proliferation has just started at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, to discuss developments and challenges in the Middle East region, in this context.

 

The conference comes in light of the preparations for the tenth session of the NPT Review Conference.

 

Director of the Department of Nuclear Disarmament and Arms Control of the League of Arab States, Fadi Hanna Isaiah, said that the meeting will address developments and developments in the international arena related to the issue of nuclear disarmament and weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, in addition to the issue of peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

 

Isaiah added, in a statement before the start of the conference, that there is a session dedicated to discussing the Iranian nuclear file, in the presence of a number of experts from the United States and the European Union.

 

Isaiah explained that during the session, the American viewpoint will be heard in light of indications of a return to the agreement with Iran after withdrawing from it during the administration of US President Donald Trump.

 

On the other hand, the Director of the Arms Control Department of the Arab League says that the Arab side will also present its vision during the conference as it is in the Iranian neighborhood, explaining that there are officials from several international organizations and representatives of civil society who will present their vision.
