After the announcement of raising the price of subsidized bread from the Lebanese government, for the fifth time in a year, amid the largest economic crisis in the country, this loaf has become threatened with interruption, due to the shortage of diesel fuel, according to the "Russia Today" network.
In this context, the Union of Bakeries and Ovens Syndicates announced that "there is a major crisis that may lead to the suspension of many bakeries and bakeries in all Lebanese regions, and this is a severe shortage of diesel fuel, which has become an elusive substance."
The union said, "The bakeries and bakeries have exhausted all their reserves of diesel, and what is available is not enough, which may affect the production of bakeries and bakeries, especially the large ones that are distributed to all Lebanese regions. Mills also suffer from the same crisis."
The Union warned all Lebanese officials against "not recognizing this matter and addressing it today before tomorrow, because it will lead to a forced loaf of bread crisis," appealing to all officials to quickly secure the fuel oil to the bakeries to continue providing citizens with their daily need of bread.
