The Board of Directors of the Fishing Department decided to honor the duo, Saif Issa and Hedaya Malak, who won two bronze medals in the Tokyo Olympics currently being held in the Japanese capital.
Fishing officials called members of the club's general assembly to attend, starting at 1:00 p.m., to contribute to honoring the two champions who raised the country's name high in international forums and achieved two medals for Egypt so far.
The fishing officials confirmed that the eastern car park "next to Gate 7" will be closed to receive the two champions from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Hedaya Malak, a female taekwondo player, won the bronze medal, after defeating the American player in the consolation competitions. Hedaya stood on the podium alongside the gold and silver players, in addition to the third and bronze medalist as well.
Seif Issa managed to defeat Italian Simone Alessio, in the quarter-finals of taekwondo, to qualify for the semi-finals of the men's individual 80 kg competitions, before finally winning the bronze medal. The Egyptian champion Hedaya Malak won the first medal for Egypt in Tokyo 2020, after defeating the player American taekwondo competition.
