The Argentine government extended health restrictions until August 6 in an attempt to stop the spread of the Corona virus, especially the delta mutant, which is considered the most contagious than others.
This decision comes at a time when the country of 45 million people recorded 4.6 million injuries, including more than 98,000 deaths, making it among the most affected countries in the Americas.
In its decision to extend health restrictions, the government said that "the delta mutant has been detected in 86 countries and is 50 to 70 percent more infectious than the alpha mutant."
Argentina bought 28 million doses of vaccines from several laboratories. So far, about 5 million people have received the two necessary doses.
