Today, Saturday, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, announced that 23 deaths, 1,319 new cases of the Coronavirus, and 2,037 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
In the daily report on the epidemiological situation in Palestine, Al-Kaila explained that 17 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: “Hebron 5, Qalqilya 1, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1, Nablus 2, Jenin 2, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1, Bethlehem 2, Tulkarm 3.” 3 deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip, and 3 deaths in Jerusalem.
She indicated that the new injuries were recorded as follows: “Hebron 114, Qalqilya 39, Jericho and Al Aghwar 10, Nablus 86, the suburbs of Jerusalem 12, Jenin 27, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 102, Bethlehem 41, Salfit 13, Tubas 17, Tulkarm 33” Gaza Strip 605, Jerusalem 120.
She added that the new recovery cases were divided according to the following: “Hebron 340, Qalqilya 0, Jericho and Al Aghwar 23, Nablus 183, Jerusalem suburbs 83, Jenin 225, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 257, Bethlehem 278, Salfit 57, Tubas 56, Tulkarm 60”, Sector Gaza 200, Jerusalem 275.
It indicated that the rate of recovery from the Corona virus in Palestine reached 89.6%, while the rate of active infections reached 9.3%, and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
In the same context, the Ministry of Interior in Gaza confirmed the entry into force of the decision of the complete night closure at 9:00 pm today, which includes preventing the movement of citizens and vehicles, and closing all facilities except pharmacies only.
She said that the implementation of the decision to ban parties and mourning houses in the streets begins today, taking preventive measures in the popular markets, and the commitment of wedding halls to limit the number of attendees to a maximum of one hundred people, and to follow personal and public safety precautions.
Interior Ministry spokesman Iyad Al-Bazm indicated that the police are following up on the implementation of these decisions, and taking legal measures against violators.
He added: "The continuing escalation of the number of cases of Coronavirus raises the alarm, and it is imperative for citizens to adhere to personal protection measures, the most important of which are wearing a mask and reducing mixing, in order to preserve their safety."
