The French Ministry of Health data showed that the number of new infections with the Coronavirus approached 30,000 yesterday, Saturday, at a time when the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine exceeded five million.
The data showed that with the government facing difficulty in containing the spread, France recorded 29,759 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, up from 25,229 the previous day.
The number of deaths from the virus in hospitals rose to 169 people, to 64,978, while the number of people in intensive care units increased from 37 to 4,070, with increasing pressure on French hospitals amid the high number of cases.
On the other hand, the Brazilian Ministry of Health recorded, on Saturday, one thousand and 986 deaths, and 75,555 cases of the emerging "Corona" virus during the past 24 hours.
The Mexican Health Ministry also announced, on Saturday evening, that 6,104 new cases of the new Corona virus had been recorded, during the past twenty-four hours, which raises the total to two million 163,875 cases.
