Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku pledged the ability to start a new era during which he would dominate a number of tournaments, after winning the Italian League title this season for the first time in 11 years, beating Juventus, Milan, Napoli, Atalanta and all competitors.
"We are strong and we have a good coach, and we hope to continue like this," Lukaku said in statements published by "Football Italia". "It was a great goal because we won. I am happy for the players, the coach, the coaching staff, the club and Inter fans around the world."
He added, "I think it is the right time for us to start a new tournament, we are really strong, we have a good coach and a good club, and we hope that we continue like this."
Lukaku scored 23 goals in 35 Serie A matches this season, and contributed 10 assists in this period, as Inter won the first league title in 11 years.
Inter Milan could skip 90 points for the second time only in their history if they win at the San Siro on Sunday they will end up with 91 points, after Roberto Mancini led the club to 97 points in the 2006-07 season.
