Man City vs Chelsea ... Aguero apologizes for wasting "Panenka" penalty


Veteran Argentine star Sergio Aguero, Manchester City striker, apologized for wasting the penalty kick against Chelsea, which contributed to the Blues' 2-1 victory in the match that brought the two teams together at the Al Ittihad Stadium in the 35th round matches in the English Premier League championship for the season. Current 2020/2021, to postpone the City’s final title this season.


Chelsea goalkeeper Edward Mendy easily saved Sergio Aguero's penalty kick, which he executed as Banenca in stoppage time in the first half.


Through his Twitter account, Aguero decided to apologize to everyone for what happened, writing: "I would like to apologize to my teammates and the fans for missing the penalty kick. It was a bad decision, and I bear the full responsibility."


 

With that result, Manchester City is at the top of the Premier League standings with 80 points, 13 points difference from the runner-up Man United, who has two games less, to officially postpone the Premier League title, while Chelsea rose to third place with 64 points.


The two teams are scheduled to meet in the Champions League final on May 29 in Istanbul, Turkey.
