The Israeli army admits: Hamas has fired 3 thousand rockets since the beginning of the escalation

The Israeli army acknowledged that Israel is currently under unprecedented missile attacks, against the backdrop of the new round of escalation around the Gaza Strip.

The commander of the Israeli Home Front, General Uri Gordin, confirmed during a press conference held today, Sunday, that since last Monday, the Palestinian factions controlling the Gaza Strip have fired about three thousand rockets at Israel, which exceeds the frequency that was detected during the escalation in 2019 (570 missiles) and the war. Lebanon 2006 (that's 4,500 rockets over 19 days).

This follows the confirmation of Ophir Gendelman, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on his Twitter account today, Sunday, that since the beginning of the current military escalation around Gaza, 2900 rockets have been fired on Israeli territory, 450 of which have fallen within the borders of the Strip.

The spokesman pointed out that the Israeli army intercepted, last night, a new burst of rockets fired from Gaza at Tel Aviv.
