Nabih Berri: Hariri is committed to forming a government and is concerned about the security situation in Lebanon

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced that he is sticking to naming Saad Hariri to form a government in Lebanon, expressing his concern over the security situation in the country.

According to Russia Today, Berri confirmed that his initiative to form a government is still in place, and he will not back down unless another acceptable initiative is available, pointing out that his adherence to Hariri stems from the fact that he enjoys the support of his sect’s audience, Dar al-Fatwa and the club of former heads of government, as well as the support of deputies in parliamentary consultations.

Berri considered that in exchange for not forming a new Lebanese government, there will be no apology from Hariri.

Berri pointed out that Lebanon cannot tolerate delay, and it cannot wait for parliamentary elections, even early, because they cannot take place before three or four months, and the country may witness a complete collapse during them, and said: "If Hariri apologizes, it will be a complete collapse, and I am afraid in terms of security." .

Berri considered that the overthrow of Hariri's government one day while he was about to enter the White House was a mistake, "and most of those who do not make mistakes", refusing to talk about the triangle within the government, stressing that no party is allowed to obtain a disabled third.
