Saudi Arabia reopens 7 mosques after sterilizing them to confront "Corona"


The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance reported the reopening of 7 mosques after they were temporarily evacuated and sterilized in 4 regions, after confirmed cases of infection with the Corona virus among worshipers, bringing the total that was completed sterilization and completed its readiness within 119 days to 1500 mosques.


The ministry explained - in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency, today, Saturday - that the mosques that were sterilized as a precaution and reopened are three mosques in the Riyadh region, two mosques in the Asir region, and one mosque in each of the northern border regions and Tabuk.


And she indicated that these measures are taken in the context of confronting the Corona virus and ensuring the safety of worshipers, in addition to the continuous cleaning and maintenance operations for all mosques.
