Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a separate meeting with Swiss President Guy Parmelin following the summit with his US counterpart Joe Biden in Geneva on Wednesday, Russian Presidential Assistant for Foreign Policy Yuri Ushakov said on Tuesday.
Ushakov added - as reported by the Russian TASS news agency - that "after the conclusion of Putin's press conference, there will be a bilateral meeting with the Swiss president," noting that "the agenda of Putin and Parmelin talks has not been coordinated, saying... There was simply an agreement to meet, Apparently, the development of bilateral cooperation will be discussed."
He stressed that "Russia highly appreciates the neutral role of Switzerland and is grateful to the Swiss side for organizing the summit in Geneva."
