Gold prices in Egypt lost about 45 pounds per gram during the last month of June, bringing the prices of 21 karat gold down from 820 pounds per gram at the beginning of the month to 775 pounds per gram, according to the prices recorded now.
An ounce of gold lost about $136 during the past month, dropping from $1,913 to $1,777 levels, and this drop in gold prices came as a result of America’s announcement of its intention to raise interest rates twice by 2023.
Today, Thursday, gold prices in Egypt recorded an increase of 3 pounds, according to the changes witnessed by the global and local markets, while an ounce of gold recorded a rise to levels of 1777 dollars.
Gold prices today are affected by a number of events, including the final reading of the Japanese manufacturing PMI, the Chinese Caxian manufacturing PMI, the final reading of the manufacturing PMI in the eurozone and the final reading of the British manufacturing PMI, the unemployment rate is scheduled to be announced in the eurozone and Andrew Bailey’s speech The Bank of England and the meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee in OPEC.
