Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed during his meeting with US Special Envoy for Climate Affairs John Kerry that Russia is doing a lot to fulfill the commitments of the Paris climate agreement, including reducing emissions, the press spokesman of the Russian presidency (Kremlin) Dmitry Peskov announced.
"During this meeting, the president indicated that Russia is doing a lot to fulfill the commitments made under the Paris climate agreement," Peskov said in a press statement today.
He added, "Russia is doing a lot in terms of carbon dioxide absorption and is also doing a lot in terms of developing hydropower and nuclear energy and constantly increasing the volume of these clean types of energy."
